Hi, I'm Kris, one half of Cat Bat Lab! I started my self taught journey on 3D art five years ago. I started selling VRChat models in 2019 and started commissions in 2023. Everyday has been a lesson learned. I am extremely passionate and attentive to detail. My goal as an artist is to bring your ideas to life. I excel in character design and tying the creative ideas together with the technical aspects of creation in Unity.

Illume

Hi, I'm Illume, the other half of Cat Bat Lab! I've been making 3D models since 2018, but was reintroduced during 2020! I handle primarily the Blender and texture work. I have a penchant for anything a little monstrous and adore bringing your unique designs to life in fun and interesting ways. I love learning new techniques and trying different styles, but have a special place in my heart for stylized anime-esque creations.

🦇| 1. General
    ➥ By hiring our services you agree to the established terms. We reserve the right to decline future work from the Client in the event of any TOS non-compliance.
🦇| 2. Warranty and Refund Policy
    ➥ Alterations: The Client agrees to up to three (3) revisions during each stage of work (Blender, Substance Painter, Unity, Final Testing) of the commission. The Client agrees not to request changes after six (6) months or more following the delivery date and agreed upon completion of the Commissioned Work.
    ➥ Cancellation: In the event that the Client wishes to cancel the Commissioned Work before completion, the Client shall forfeit any payments made up to the date of cancellation. The Artist reserves the right to retain the Commissioned Work and to use it in any manner. The Artist reserves the right to cancel the Commissioned Work if for any reason completion is not possible. In such cases any payments made will be refunded to the Client.
🦇| 3. Miscellaneous
    ➥ The Client agrees to be 18 years of age or older. The Client is not permitted to use the Commissioned Work for AI and/or NFTs. The Client shall not claim the Commissioned Work as their own. The Client is not allowed to resell the Commissioned Work.
🦇| 4. Indemnification
    ➥ The Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Artist harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to the Commissioned Work.

🦇| 5. Copyright Artist
    ➥ The Artist retains all rights, title, and ownership of the Commissioned Work, including but not limited to copyright, use of Commissioned Work for promotional purposes (via social media, portfolio, marketing material, etc.), and display of Commissioned Work during live streams or social media posts (work-in-progress streams, status updates, etc.)
    ➥ At the request of the Client, and while agreed upon by the Artist, the Commissioned Work can be done privately for an additional charge (no work-in-progress streams, status updates, etc.)
🦇| 6. Copyright Client
    ➥ The Client is granted permission to edit the Commissioned Work after the delivery of finished files. The Client agrees not to make any alterations, modifications, or reproductions of the Commissioned Work that would violate the Terms of Service of any and all platforms the Commissioned Work may be used for. The Artist shall not be held responsible for any errors that may occur from such editing done by the Client.
    ➥ The Client is granted an exclusive license to use the Commissioned Work for streaming purposes and reproduction rights for streaming content only, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. The Client must credit the Artist in the following format: [Model name] by Krisandra & Illume, Cat Bat Laboratory [Link to commission page].

We, Krisandra and Illume, are chronically ill, with issues that arise randomly. We reserve the right to delay the Commission Work as needed due to health concerns. However, we will always return to the Commissioned Work as soon as possible.

🦇| 7. Content
    ➥ Refusal: The Artist has the right to refuse projects according to personal discernment and capabilities. Some examples of content that the Artist will not be comfortable representing include, but are not limited to:
     ● Fully Mecha/Robotic
     ● Loli/Underage/Chibi
     ● Excessively Violent or Gore
     ● Copying others' style and/or art the
     Client does not own the rights to
     ● Anything hate related (Racism,
     Homophobia, etc.)
    ➥ Fees:
     ● Commercial Rights (Asset): +50% of base
     price.
     ● Commercial Rights (Streaming): +50% of
     base price.
     ● Late-Stage major edits: +25% of base
     price.
     ● Rush Fee: +50% of base price.
🦇| 8. Severability
    ➥ If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

🦇| A Kitbashed model starts at $150 USD, provided you have a head/base already edited and have purchased the assets for us to place onto your model. The price can increase if you need a new head/base edit with your purchased assets.
🦇| A Scratch model starts at $600 USD, using a preexisting head/base of your choice, but completely custom hair/clothing/shoes/Unity work unless otherwise requested. The price can fluctuate depending on complexity, number of scratch assets, etc. The base price includes five (5) pieces of a main outfit (top, bottoms, shoes, jacket, or something else) along with an underwear set (bra, underwear, socks). Anything more is considered more complex.

🦇| Textures depends on the complexity. Can be anywhere from make-up to tattoos.
🦇| Head Edits shapekeys will be fixed with the sculpt.
🦇| Optimizing can be anywhere from redoing an FX layer to fixing materials. Or it can be taking your already made avatar into a green rating.
🦇| VRM/Warudo conversions require you to have an already finished model with ARKit setup. If we need to setup the ARKit shapekeys there will be an additional cost.
